Our story
Digital Spark Weddings was established in 2014 by Founders Joshua Hieber and Adam Sewell. They met while working full time for a large company, and were both working on the production team. While working full time they were filming and shooting weddings on the weekends that called for 100 hour work weeks. Joshua and Adam knew they worked really well together and decided to establish Digital Spark Weddings, a full service wedding videography and photography company. After 2 years of working an insane amount of hours each week they decided to take Digital Spark Weddings and Digital Spark Studios full time, and opened their very own production studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. Now they have built a successful business and team, which continues to grow every single year.

Adam is a Co-Founder of Digital Spark Weddings. Adam is the lead videographer at Digital Spark Weddings. From the wedding day to the editing room, Adam brings a level of professionalism that is unmatched. He has a way of making every story he touches more dynamic and meaningful; he is one of the few that can make the simplest shots beautiful, and can thread together the multiple elements of a wedding day into a story filled with emotion, and joy.

Joshua is one of the Co-Founders of Digital Spark Weddings. He has over 10 years of experience in the media production industry. Joshua is the Lead Photographer at Digital Spark Weddings, but also an experience Cinematographer. Joshua has a knack of bringing a blank canvas to life in the most creative ways imaginable. If you are lucky enough to have Joshua at your wedding, you will find that he brings a fun, upbeat, creative energy to your day and will make you feel at home in front of the camera.

Social Media Guru
Melissa is the Social Media Manager for Digital Spark Weddings & Digital Spark Studios. She has over 4 years of Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing experience, and has worked with small businesses and large corporations to improve their marketing efforts and strategy. She has a passion for blogging, graphic design and photography!

Taylor is an awkwardly endearing individual with a wide range of experiences across the video production industry. From shooting shows for TV networks to receiving an Emmy for his editing work at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Moscow, his creative eye, and passion for videography and storytelling will make for a beautiful, unique film about your momentous day.

Editor
With over five years’ experience in editing, Elijah creates more than just films, he tells a visual love stories. With breathtaking shots, soaring music, and well-crafted sound design, he tailors each film to fit the characteristics of the couple. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Elijah now calls the Charlotte area home.
